Jay-Z held an exclusive private listening session for Watch The Throne last night NYC last night.
Hov indicated that it took three stages for the album to be completed. He says some records were scrapped for being too grandiose. The recording process stretched three continents (Australia, NY, LA, Paris) with him and Ye recording entirely in-person.
